This specialization aligns with the Blue (Maritime) Economy concept and responds to market signals and the growing demand in dynamic offshore maritime sectors. Europe’s Blue Economy, currently offering 5.4 million jobs, aims to double this number by 2030. Poland is on the brink of rapid offshore wind energy development, projected to account for 30% of the country's energy sources by 2040. Investments in this sector are estimated at over PLN 130 billion over the next 12 years. Poland's offshore wind sector alone is expected to generate a demand for 60,000 new workers by 2030. This specialization (MOS) addresses the need to educate analytical and managerial professionals capable of operating in the innovative offshore market.

The uniqueness and necessity of launching this specialization are confirmed by faculty partners such as the ENERGA Group, BOTA Technik, and regional self-government authorities.
