International Economic Relations: Global Financial Services (in Polish)

 

The graduate possesses knowledge in the following areas:

  • The functioning of the global financial services market in Poland and internationally,
  • International finance, corporate finance, and sustainable finance (ESG finance),
  • Financial markets, including currency and capital markets,
  • Causes, mechanisms, and effects of financial crises,
  • Enterprise financing sources and the use of insurance,
  • Project and human resource management in an international environment,
  • Communication methods, analysis, and presentation of results.

The graduate acquires skills in:

Graduates develop future-oriented skills (the so-called 4Cs) valuable in the labor market:

  • The ability to utilize information from data to manage corporate finances and leverage financial resources, including using systems such as SAP,
  • The ability to select appropriate financing methods for business entities, choose suitable analytical methods, and critically assess financial phenomena,
  • Understanding principles of community-, environment-, and governance-focused finance (ESG finance),
  • Comprehending and efficiently financing processes and deliveries within corporate value chains, including practical applications of factoring in business activities,
  • Understanding the functioning of global financial markets, including the currency market,
  • The ability to identify and manage credit and other financial risks, and evaluate company value using various valuation methods,
  • Preparing and deeply analyzing business content, interpreting data in analytical work (e.g., financial report analysis, financial data examination, and identifying financial trends),
  • Effective project and personnel management, and collaboration in an international business environment (Cooperation),
  • Using technology for data analysis and clear presentation (Data storytelling),
  • Developing communication skills useful in client relations and investor relations (Communication),
  • Creativity in solving business problems (Creativity),
  • Critical thinking (Critical thinking) for risk identification, innovative solutions, market analysis, or business strategy evaluation.

The acquired learning outcomes enable graduates to:

Graduates are equipped to work in international and domestic financial institutions and companies in roles associated with global financial services, including:

  • Specialization in Global Financial Services prepares students for positions in corporate finance and accounting centers, BPO/SSC entities, and national and international financial consulting, audit, and advisory firms, as well as in the AML sector.
  • Graduates are also prepared to work in financial and operational departments of production, service, and trade enterprises.
  • They can combine knowledge from economics, linguistics, law, social sciences, and psychology with financial expertise.
  • This specialization also prepares students for independent business management and financial oversight.
