Fourth Edition – 2017

For the fourth edition of the competition, the master's theses defended during the academic year 2016/17 that were submitted at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk are as follows:

Robert Rolbiecki, Price Changes in Selected Commodity Markets and Their Impact on the Economies of the Largest Exporters,
Supervisor: Krzysztof Dobrowolski, Associate Professor

Katarzyna Andrzejak, The Russian Federation in the World Trade Organization,
Supervisor: Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, Associate Professor

Monika Siemiątkowska, The Impact of Pharmaceutical Exports on the Development of the Pharmaceutical Sector in Poland,
Supervisor: Hanna Treder, Associate Professor

 

As a result of the qualification process conducted by the Faculty Competition Committee, two theses were selected for the national stage: the thesis of M.A. Cezary Topczyłko and the thesis of M.A. Katarzyna Andrzejak.

Award Ceremony for the Winners of the 4th Edition of the Master's Thesis Competition

On September 20, 2018, at the University of Economics in Krakow, an awards ceremony was held for the winners of the 4th edition of the competition for the best master's thesis in International Economic Relations. The prizes were given by the Competition Chapter, which consists of:

The Winners of the 4th Edition of the Master's Thesis Competition:

1st Place (Prize of 5000 PLN) – M.A. Piotr Bąkowski, for the master's thesis written and defended at the University of Economics in Poznań, titled Success Factors for European Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Expanding into the Chinese Jewelry Market, supervisor: Beata Stępień, Associate Professor

2nd Place (Prize of 3000 PLN) – M.A. Cezary Topczyłko, for the master's thesis written and defended at the University of Gdańsk, titled The Functioning of Banks in Social Media, supervisor: Danuta Marciniak-Neider, Professor.

3rd Place (Prize of 2000 PLN) – M.A. Katarzyna Pałka, for the master's thesis written and defended at the University of Economics in Kraków, titled Implementation of the Concept of Corporate Social Responsibility in Transnational Corporations, supervisor: Krzysztof Wach, Associate Professor.

The prizes were awarded by the Chairman of the Competition Chapter, Tomasz Gołębiowski, Professor, who honored the supervisors of the awarded theses with special diplomas.
