As part of this year’s EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region Annual Forum (EUSBSR Annual Forum), an English-language Oxford debate entitled “Future and Learning: Academia vs. Micro-Skills in a Shifting World” was held on October 30, 2025.

The discussion focused on the challenges faced by modern education systems in the context of dynamic labour market changes and the growing importance of micro-credentials and short online learning formats.

On the 22nd of  October 2025, the First Inter-University Climate Forum was held at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. The event brought together experts, representatives of business, local governments, and non-governmental organizations to jointly seek solutions for climate protection, climate education, and sustainable development.

The 23rd International Maritime and Military Fair BALTEXPO took place from October 7th to 9th. It was attended by 280 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from Poland and abroad. The University of Gdańsk also presented an vide offer related to the sea and maritime economy.

This is another academic year in which meetings were held as part of the "Talented from Pomerania 2.0 – University of Gdańsk" project. This year’s edition of the Pomeranian Science Workshops took place at the University of Gdansk’s Oliwa Campus on September 15–19, 2025.

The University of Gdańsk, together with the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, invites you to Academia on the Beach – a series of six lectures and three debates during which experts from Poland and abroad will discuss the challenges facing the Baltic Sea and its ecosystem. From 3–5 September 2025, the beach in Sopot will transform into a space for meeting science.
