Introduction: A Day That Changed Our Perspective

Last month, the AI LAB student club from the Faculty of Economics had the chance to step into the world of Intel in Gdańsk—and it was nothing short of transformative. What started as a series of workshops about AI in marketing, AI+IT for non-programmers, and mind-blowing tech demos (hello, audiolab!) turned into something deeper: a human experience.

We walked in buzzing with excitement ("Look at us, building AI projects for high schoolers!"). We left with a mix of awe ("Wow, we still have so much to learn") and fiery motivation. Intel’s team didn’t just share knowledge—they listened, asked sharp questions, and treated us like peers. That’s rare. And that’s what made this visit unforgettable.

The best thing – everything was in english specially for our international community. Last semester we united people from Poland, Germany, Spain, Belarus, Turkey, Ukraine and even Mexico.

But AI LAB’s members can’t just keep these insights just for themselves. Catch up with us:)

Workshop Highlights: Practical, Honest, Eye-Opening

1. AI in Marketing: Keep It Real

The big lesson? AI is a tool, not a magic wand.

  • Start small. You don’t need to master everything at once.
  • Authenticity wins. Customers can spot awkward AI-generated content—especially in fields like healthcare where accuracy is critical.
  • SEO = power. Your main page (index.html) is prime real estate for keywords.

Tools to play with:

  • Writesonic and SEO.ai for AI-powered SEO.
  • Meta Ads Library to dissect viral campaigns.
  • AI Canva - mind blowing for the design, we can build an entire website just by writing a prompt. And it is free.

2. Coding for Non-Programmers: Fail Fast, Learn Faster

For many of us, coding feels like a foreign language. Intel’s engineers made it click:

  • Debugging AI code is hard. But tools like GitHub Copilot (AI-powered) and Stack Overflow are lifesavers.
  • Python is your friend. Easy to learn, essential for AI.
  • The gap between using AI and building AI is huge. Dive into platforms like Hugging Face to see how it works under the hood.

3. How AI Really Thinks (Spoiler: It’s Not Human)

  • AI breaks sentences into tokens (not words or grammar rules), assigns them numbers (like 2.4), and guesses the next best answer. That’s why hallucinations happen!
  • System prompts matter. They shape how AI responds — and it is important, because companies pay not for the number of responses, but tokens from which they and questions are formed.

The Intel Difference: Expertise + Heart

7 hours of constant flow of information was a game changer. But suprisingly, what stuck with us wasn’t just the tech — it was the people. Intel’s team balanced deep expertise with genuine curiosity. They asked about our AI project for high schoolers, gave actionable feedback, and shared their own "fail fast" stories.

One engineer said: "Be ambitious, but don’t try to boil the ocean. Start small." Another laughed: "Debugging AI code? Welcome to my nightmares." Their honesty was refreshing. Their passion? Contagious.

What’s Next for AI LAB?

This visit was a turning point. Here’s how we’re channeling the energy:

  1. More hands-on experiments. Testing tools like OpenVINO and n8n.
  2. Opening our doors wider. New members, new ideas—every semester.
  3. Keeping it real. AI is powerful, but it’s the human behind it that makes the difference.

Final Thoughts: Gratitude & Invitation
