How to complete the Learning Agreement
After qualifying for Erasmus+, you must complete the Learning Agreement (LA) form containing the subjects you have selected to be completed at the partner university.
From 2021/22, the LA is an electronic document completed in the OLA system (technical information is provided to nominees by the Foreign Exchange Office). However, it may happen that some partner universities have not yet implemented the OLA system - then it may be necessary to complete the LA document in a traditional form.
LA Subject Selection Policy
- all subjects taken at the partner university must be entered in the LA. A minimum of 30 ECTS must be taken in order to settle the semester!
- qualified students are required to complete a study program appropriate to their field/specialization and approved in the Learning Agreement/OLA, amounting to at least 30 ECTS points/semester;
- students leaving for one semester are required to complete subjects that allow them to obtain a total of 30 ECTS points or more, while those leaving for a whole year must complete subjects that allow them to obtain a total of 60 ECTS points or more;
- students cannot choose subjects that have already been completed and passed at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk;
- first, subjects that are equivalent to those taken at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk as part of the applicable study program for the field being studied should be selected; these should be subjects similar in content and learning outcomes to the program for the field and specialization studied at the University of Gdańsk. This means that it is advisable to find equivalents to general, major and specialisation subjects;
- elective subjects are entered into LA (in the case of these subjects, it is enough to enter Electives instead of the names of specific subjects);
- students can choose any number of subjects from the scope of learning a foreign language, however, these subjects will be credited at the Faculty of Economics for a maximum of 6 ECTS points;
- seminar classes are NOT entered into LA (the seminar is conducted via email – they are not added to the total of ECTS points obtained during the mobility), nor physical education classes (they are credited automatically if they fall in the semester of the mobility).
Procedure for contacting coordinators
The choice of subjects must be agreed and approved by one of the Erasmus+ coordinators.
The agreement is made only during the coordinators' consultations, to which you should come prepared (consultations are held in stationary and online form) - i.e. with a prepared LA proposal and syllabi of selected subjects at the host university. Requests for approval of selected subjects in LA sent by e-mail will not be processed without prior consultation.
Due to numerous errors in completed OLAs and in e-mails, the following procedure for preparing LA in contact with coordinators applies:
- Prepare proposals for equivalents for the implemented subjects (have syllabi of subjects that you want to propose as equivalents from the partner university).
- Present your proposal during direct consultations (in stationary or after online agreement) with one of the Erasmus+ faculty coordinators.
- Complete the OLA only after this consultation.
- DO NOT send emails asking for an LA consultation – contact the coordinator at the consultation. It will be much faster this way, because many people will be in touch in the same short time. 5. Email contact (regarding LA) is acceptable only after arrangements at the consultation, if it is still needed.
