Additional support for students in difficult financial situation

A student is entitled to the social scholarship (support for inclusion) in the amount of 250 EUR (paid in equivalent PLN) under Erasmus+ for each month of stay abroad as indicated in the signed Erasmus+ contract.

Please note that student is entitled to social scholarship only if at the time of recruitment was entitled to the social scholarship at the University of Gdansk*.

This has to be confirmed by the Dean’s Office (there is an appropriate section in the application form for this).

*Student could be entitled to the social scholarship at the University of Gdansk under the provisions of the act “Higher Education Law – Chapter 2: Students' Rights and Obligations” („Prawo o szkolnictwie wyższym – rozdział 2: prawa i obowiązki studentów”).

In the case of applying for a social scholarship during the recruitment process, the student has the option to attach to the Scholarship Form a declaration of submitting scholarship documentation to the UG Scholarship Office. After receiving the decision to award the scholarship, the student is required to submit a copy of the decision to SOP E+ by March 31, 2025 at the latest.

Note: Failure to include a copy of the decision to grant social benefits in the candidate's form if the candidate indicated in the Scholarship Form that they "receive a social scholarship" will result in their automatic qualification as a scholarship holder without an additional allowance.

Additional support for people with disabilities

People with disabilities who travel to study in program countries may receive additional funding for inclusion support corresponding to €250/month for each month of their originally approved stay.

The first condition for receiving support is to declare that they have a disability certificate. The declaration is made by checking the appropriate box in the Scholarship Form.

If the cost of mobility, due to disability and medical expenses, exceeds the total amount of the additional allowance of 250 EU/month, the Participant may apply for additional funds in accordance with the information on the website:
