Obligatory trainings and registration
- The following training courses are primarily for you:
- HEALTH AND SAFETY TRAINING (HSE TRAINING) - obligatory, under pain of not attending the semester, for students of the 1st year is conducted on the Internet. The student is obliged to join the training and pass the test from 1 to 31 October. Online training is available on the UG Educational Portal. The positive test evaluation (at the end of the training) will result in the completion of the training.
There are two deadlines for passing the training - basic and re-take, which is carried out within a month after the expiration of the first one. In case of not passing the test in either of them, the student has the right to participate in the training again and pass the test on an individually set date, with the consent of the Vice-Rector and upon payment of a fee for repeating the course or classes for which no ECTS points have been assigned, covered by the permission to study in the next semester (Attachment 2, Ordinance No. 74/R/26 of the Rector of the University of Gdańsk of June 12, 2026). The rules for passing the course are governed by Ordinance No. 128/R/25 of the Rector of the University of Gdansk dated September 1, 2025 on the principles and procedures for the implementation of compulsory training in the field of educational health and safety for students and doctoral students at the University of Gdańsk.

Online Library Training – Key Information
The online library training will be available from September 28, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Its purpose is to familiarize students with how the University of Gdańsk Library operates.
To register for the training:
1. Log in to the University of Gdańsk Education Portal.
2. On the home page, in the “Search for courses” field, enter: “Library Training”
3. Enter the course access password: biblioteka2026

- REGISTRATION FOR LIBRARY – For 1st year students, they are held automatically after taking online library training and passing the test. Your account will be activated within 24 hours and will be valid for one year. The library training must be passed by the end of the academic year. If you do not pass the training by the deadline, contact the BUG Promotion Section. After one year, renew your account if you want to continue using the Library's services. You can do this at any lending library. The Library STUDENT'S TOOLBOX will make it easier for you to use the UG Library.
- REGISTRATION FOR LANGUAGE COURSES – Registration for classes is conducted by the CJO on the eUczelnia platform. Keep an eye on enrollment deadlines, as failure to meet them may result in random assignment to a group at an inadequate level or remaining unassigned. You can find all the information you need on the Foreign Language Center's website https://cjo.ug.edu.pl/.
- REGISTRATION FOR SPORTS ACTIVITIES – Ask for details at the PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORT CENTER. Registration takes place at: zapisy.euczelnia.ug.edu.pl.
- REGISTRATION FOR GENERALIZED LECTURES – registration for generalized lectures is conducted electronically using the eUczelnia system after logging in at: zapisy.euczelnia.ug.edu.pl. Remember that if you sign up for such a lecture, it becomes automatically mandatory and you have to pass it.
