What was Global Entrepreneurship Week like at the Faculty of Economics on November 18, 2025?
On November 18, 2025, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk once again became a hub for discussions about innovation, the market, and modern business. As part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week celebrations, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk prepared a rich program of meetings, lectures, and workshops, attracting those interested in professional development and the latest economic trends.
The event opened with an interview conducted by students of the Marketing Student Research Club with Paweł Stodulski, Regional Manager of SNIPES Polska S.A. His presentation, titled "How to build success? Entrepreneurship and the development of the SNIPES brand," was very well-received. The speaker, in an accessible and practical way, demonstrated how dynamically developing streetwear brands build their recognition, how they respond to trends from the younger generation, and which skills are particularly valued in the retail industry today. Participants had the opportunity to learn about what it's like to work in one of the fastest-growing fashion chains in Europe and gain valuable tips on pursuing a career in brand management.
The next part of the event featured presentations from students from two research groups: the International Finance Research Club and the START-UP Entrepreneurship Research Club. They addressed topics related to consumer behavior, sensory marketing, food price analysis, and the impact of discount stores on purchasing choices. There was room for both market analysis and reflection on contemporary trends, such as freeganism and the changing preferences of young consumers towards large retail chains. The presentations presented the results of research conducted as part of a project related to retailer and consumer behavior in the food market in relation to sustainable development. The presentations generated many questions and interesting comments from event attendees.
Concurrently, members of the Logistics Research Group and the Konsylium Research Club led practical workshops that allowed participants to develop logistics skills (a workshop titled "Building Entrepreneurship Through Logistics") and learn how to manage their personal finances wisely (a workshop titled "Your Money, Your Future – How to Save and Invest Wisely").
Thanks to the commitment of students, lecturers, and invited experts, the event became an excellent space for exchanging experiences and broadening horizons.
Special applause goes to the students for their fantastic approach to co-creating the event!
We would like to thank all the numerous participants for their attendance and active participation.
