Oxford Debate Tournament

The Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk has significant experience in organising Oxford debates.

We are the originators of a cyclical tournament of debates on economics, environmental protection and sustainable development, addressed to high school students, which is very popular among students of Pomeranian secondary schools.
 

Once again, in the academic year 2024/2025, teams of debaters will take up the intellectual challenge of participating in the tournament. They will debate on topics related to the economy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development and thus develop their skills in clear statement construction, argument formulation, assertive response to criticism, and teamwork.

In accordance with our tournament's assumptions, in addition to the academic staff, students experienced in debating take an active part in organizing and substantively preparing debates. In this way, they gain valuable experience in mentoring, team management, and project management.
