Individual Research Plan
- Research objective – in this part of the research plan, the doctoral student defines the research problem to be solved as a result of the conducted studies and formulates a research hypothesis. In addition, the doctoral student indicates one or two key publications concerning the subject of the research.
- Significance of the research – in this part of the research plan, the doctoral student presents the current state of knowledge regarding the subject of the research and justifies undertaking the research by referring to its innovativeness and the impact of the results on the development of the field both in Poland and abroad. In addition, the doctoral student may indicate one or two key publications confirming the significance of the research in the given field.
- Detailed research plan – in this part of the research plan, the doctoral student specifies, in the form of a table, a detailed research plan along with the schedule for preparing the doctoral dissertation. The doctoral student defines the research tasks and their scope, along with the research methods to be applied, as well as the periods for completing individual tasks. The detailed plan also specifies the deadline for submitting the doctoral dissertation. The doctoral student also attaches, in the form of a table, a calculation of the costs of preparing the doctoral dissertation, in cases where the costs of the research tasks will be financed from the following sources:
- resources at the disposal of the supervisor or supervisors;
- research grants;
- the doctoral student’s employer;
- the doctoral student’s own funds.
- The cost calculation is approved by the person responsible for the funds.
- The research plan is signed by the doctoral student and the supervisor. If more than one supervisor has been appointed, the plan must be signed by the doctoral student and all supervisors.
- After submitting the research plan, the doctoral student, no later than 30 June of the academic year, may, in justified cases and in consultation with the supervisor or supervisors, make amendments to the plan. The doctoral student must immediately submit the amended research plan to the Head of the Doctoral School.
