Economics: TFL Business (in Polish) from the academic year 2025/26
TFL sector is one of the essential aspects of contemporary business environment, equally important as production technology, management, banking, finances and accounting. This is a sector of economy that functions according to unified international rules and standards, develops dynamically and has a big impact on innovation processes in economy. The specialisation of Business in TFL sector is run in line with European standards. It prepares students for jobs in transport companies, forwarding and logistics sector companies as an economic and management specialist.
The BA graduates acquire a thorough knowledge of general economics, a specialist knowledge of transport and logistics, including:
- the specifics of the transport-forwarding-logistics business,
- the functioning of companies and processes in the TFL market,
- principles of business management and tools used to analyse the potential and development opportunities of a TFL company,
- operation and development strategies of TFL enterprises,
- methods of analysis and financial evaluation of business activities in the TFL sector,
- application of marketing instruments in TFL operations,
- the role of freight forwarding in international trade planning and delivery,
- advanced forms of logistics services related to e-commerce,
- infrastructure and modern technologies in transport and logistics,
- urban mobility planning and management.
The BA graduates have the ability to efficient management of transport, forwarding and logistics processes, planning and conducting transport and logistics operations, preparing analyses and microeconomic reports in the TFL sector, assessing the financial situation of a TFL company, applying marketing instruments appropriate to the TFL sector and using of specialised IT technologies.
