Economics: Sustainable business development (in Polish) from the academic year 2025/26

The graduate possesses knowledge in the following areas:

  • Conditions for the development of sustainable enterprises and circular economy in the context of energy transition and climate change
  • Tools for conducting business in accordance with the principles of sustainable development
  • Eco-logistics and building sustainable supply chains in the global economy
  • The impact of digital tools on the ecological transformation of businesses
  • ESG concepts and reporting
  • Risk management in a dynamic business, geopolitical, and climate environment

The graduate acquires the following skills:

  • Practically implementing strategies and tools aimed at the sustainable development of modern enterprises, aligned with global challenges, trends, and regulations, with bachelor’s theses carried out as group projects in collaboration with companies
  • Identifying and incorporating sustainability tools into business strategies
  • Designing business processes in line with the concept of sustainable business and circular economy
  • Analyzing and controlling business processes for compliance with legal and market requirements related to environmental protection and ESG reporting
  • Planning long-term activities and projects that aim to support sustainable development
  • Assessing energy efficiency and optimizing processes within an organization
  • Implementing innovative solutions that promote sustainability in the areas of production, logistics, and process management
  • Developing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs
  • Communicating pro-environmental and social initiatives to stakeholders
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses of pro-environmental investments
  • Monitoring the outcomes of projects in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

The acquired learning outcomes enable graduates to:

  • Work in companies across various industries in positions related to shaping and implementing sustainable development strategies, which require building relationships with stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and non-governmental organizations.
  • Solve problems and make decisions in challenging situations (e.g., conflicts between environmental and business interests).
