dr hab. Piotr Zientara, prof. UG (stage III - IV)

The project was launched in February 2017 and concluded in November 2019.

Project Overview

The research within the project was divided into four phases, each consisting of several stages.

By July 2018, all tasks planned for the exploratory and phenomenological phases were completed (including national qualitative research using three appropriate methods and related research techniques). These tasks allowed for the publication of three scientific articles and presentations of the research results at four conferences, two of which were international.

Since June 2018, the results of the national quantitative survey (a key task in Phase 3 of the project) have been analyzed. The survey was conducted on a representative sample of 1,091 Polish consumers (random stratified sample; measurement error = 2.97%; significance level = 0.05). Methods such as factor analysis, cluster analysis, and logistic regression are being used in the analysis.

Concurrently, from the end of September 2018 to December 2018, the first tasks planned for Phase 4, the final phase, were carried out. Additional qualitative research (using two leading methods and supporting techniques) was conducted to further explain and deepen the exploratory results of the aforementioned survey.

From February to June 2019, supplementary research was conducted on a non-random targeted sample (consumers selected based on specific criteria consistent with previous research results), using face-to-face surveys. In September and October 2019, the results of this survey were compiled.

International scientific interest in the project has led to collaboration with researchers from the United States, Denmark, and Italy.
