Blended Intensive Programme „Ethical AI & Sustainable Innovation in Marketing” 8-12 grudnia 2025 r. w Ostrawie.

December 8-12, 2025, the VSB – Technical University of Ostrava hosted the Blended Intensive Programme "Ethical AI & Sustainable Innovation in Marketing," implemented in collaboration with the University of Gdańsk, the "Vasile Alecsandri" University of Bacău, and Riga Technical University.

Our Faculty was represented by ten students, Dr. Marcin Brycz, and Dr. Agata Olechnowicz-Szewczyk, who oversaw organizational matters at the Faculty of Economics.

The course curriculum was designed as a coherent learning path – from understanding the fundamentals to practical application. We began by asking why ethics, responsibility, and knowledge of human attitudes are crucial in today's market decision-making. Then we focused on how digital tools and artificial intelligence can support more informed and sustainable choices. The next step was to demonstrate what it means to translate these ideas into a real-world marketing strategy, and finally, how to verify that the designed solutions actually work and deliver lasting value. This course logic helped students see the entire process as a whole, rather than a collection of isolated topics.

Two educational visits significantly supplemented the academic portion. A trip to Dolní Vítkovice – a former industrial complex, now serving as a cultural and educational center – allowed them to examine the topics discussed in class in a broader historical and social context. Students could see how long-term technological and organizational decisions influence regional development. A visit to the PROTOLAB 3D printing laboratory at VSB provided a practical perspective on innovation, prototyping, and modern technologies supporting the design of responsible solutions.

The program brought together students from different countries, creating a space for exchanging experiences, perspectives, and ways of thinking. This intercultural dimension of BIP demonstrated that responsible innovation and sustainable development require dialogue, collaboration, and mutual learning. The collaborative work of students and faculty was based on mutual respect, openness, and a focus on learning and solving real-world problems.
