Study Visit at ROHLIG SUUS Logistics in Gdańsk
On Wednesday, December 4th, 2024, a study visit to ROHLIG SUUS Logistics, one of the largest logistics operators in Poland, was organized by the Logistics Students Club. Students interested in logistics, accompanied by their academic supervisor, had the opportunity to observe the company's operations.
During the visit, participants were divided into two language groups: one conducted the program in Polish, while the other in English. This arrangement ensured that both Polish-speaking and international students could fully benefit from the knowledge and experience shared by the experts.
As part of the visit, students had the opportunity to:
- Engage in discussions with industry experts who passionately shared their knowledge and experience,
- Tour a modern warehouse and learn about the functioning of advanced logistics processes,
- Observe innovative solutions and technologies used in supply chain management.
The visit program was divided into theoretical and practical parts. In the theoretical part, company representatives discussed the organizational structure, key areas of operation, and the challenges facing the logistics industry. The practical part allowed participants to experience the warehouse operations firsthand – they observed storage systems in action as well as processes related to inventory management and goods distribution.
The event was not only a valuable lesson in logistics but also an inspiration to further explore supply chain management. Participants appreciated the hosts' openness and the professional approach to organizing the visit, which fostered the exchange of experiences and networking opportunities.
We extend our gratitude to ROHLIG SUUS Logistics for professionally preparing the visit and for the gifts provided, which added a pleasant touch to the conclusion of the meeting. We look forward to continuing this collaboration in the future and undertaking further equally valuable initiatives.
