STA Teaching Mobility Visits for Academic Staff of the University of Gdańsk under the Erasmus+ Programme in the Academic Year 2026/2027

Academic staff of the University of Gdańsk may participate in the recruitment process for STA teaching mobility visits under the Erasmus+ Programme.

STA teaching mobility visits are intended for delivering teaching activities at partner higher education institutions under a valid inter-institutional agreement or within a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).

As part of an STA mobility, the academic staff member is required to deliver at least 8 teaching hours.

Funding may be granted for a mobility period lasting from 2 to a maximum of 5 consecutive days, with the possibility of adding additional travel days.

STA teaching mobilities may also be carried out within a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP). In the case of a mobility undertaken as part of a BIP, the mobility must last exactly 5 days, with the possibility of adding additional travel days.

Under all recruitment calls conducted at the faculty level, an employee may participate in a maximum of two mobilities during the academic year 2026/2027.

For academic staff, this limit includes both STA teaching mobilities and STT training mobilities undertaken within the framework of faculty-level recruitment.

Additional Rules

  • Funding will be awarded according to the ranking list based on the number of points obtained.
  • The ranking list will be prepared from position 1 to position n, where n represents the number of available mobility places assigned to the Faculty for the entire academic year.
  • The Committee is responsible for calculating scores and preparing the ranking list.
  • Funding will be granted to STA applications receiving the highest scores within the number of places allocated to the Faculty for a given semester.
  • If more than one application occupies a ranking position that would exceed the allocated number of places for a semester, the final decision will be made by the Committee or the Dean.
  • The Committee may decide not to award funding to applications placed on the reserve list.
  • If, in Round I, fewer applications are submitted than the number of mobility places allocated to the Faculty for a given semester, an additional recruitment round may be organised (once per semester). Documentation from such recruitment must be submitted to BWiU at least two weeks before the mobility takes place.
  • Unused mobilities from Round I will be transferred to the pool available in Round II, with implementation possible during the summer semester.
  • If a Committee member submits an application, it will be evaluated without that member participating in the Committee’s deliberations.

Announcement of Results

Applicants who are selected and those placed on the reserve list will be informed by email:

  • by 24 September 2026 for the winter semester,
  • by 12 February 2027 for the summer semester.

Selected staff members will subsequently receive information from BWiU confirming that the mobility has been entered into the ESRS system. They will then be required to submit a foreign travel request through the Employee Portal, sign a financial agreement before departure, and complete all post-mobility settlement procedures in accordance with BWiU regulations.

Additional Information

  • The Erasmus+ teaching mobility grant is intended exclusively for teaching-related purposes.
  • Mobility under the Erasmus+ Programme may be carried out during a research leave.
  • Mobility cannot be undertaken during annual leave, parental leave, childcare leave, sick leave, health recovery leave, or unpaid leave.
  • Starting a mobility without signing the financial agreement or failing to complete the settlement procedure will result in the obligation to return the funds and reallocate the funding to individuals on the reserve list.
  • Changes related to a mobility may only concern the mobility dates within the same recruitment round and require written approval from the supervisor, faculty coordinator, and host institution.
