Excellent results for Faculty of Economics programs - University of Gdańsk among the most popular universities in Poland
The University of Gdańsk has been ranked among the top ten most popular universities in the country, ranking 8th in terms of total applicants and 6th in terms of the number of students accepted for first-cycle and second-cycle Master's programs, according to data from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education regarding admissions for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Among public universities, the University of Gdańsk achieved a very high 4th place. In the upcoming academic year, 335,368 students were accepted for first-cycle and long-cycle Master's programs in Poland, including 228,769 to public universities.
6,518 new students, selected from nearly 26,000 applicants, have joined the University of Gdańsk student body.
The Faculty of Economics' results are particularly encouraging, with three of its programs among the most popular at the University of Gdańsk.
Economics and International Economic Relations were among the majors with the highest overall application numbers, confirming their attractiveness and strong position in the education market.
The English-language International Business program also achieved success, ranking among the top 10 programs with the highest number of applications, with a high score of 6.29 applicants per place.
This demonstrates the growing interest in economics studies with a modern, international approach and confirms that the Faculty of Economics' educational offerings meet the needs of the contemporary job market.
