Student Recruitment for Participation in the BIP Doing Business in Europe in Bremen
Opportunity for Students of the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk, to Participate in the Blended Intensive Program (BIP) Doing Business in Europe
The program is organized in cooperation with Hochschule Bremen, City University of Applied Sciences in Bremen, Germany.
The course will be conducted in English in international teams, including students from Germany, Poland, Spain, and Portugal.
The BIP Doing Business in Europe program offers students the opportunity to apply international accounting and business strategies in a realistic international environment. The program follows a blended learning format, combining online and in-person components:
- Online meetings on international accounting held via ZOOM on the following dates: May 7, 2025; May 15, 2025; May 21, 2025; May 28, 2025 (all sessions take place from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM).
- Simulation game at Hochschule Bremen, where participants will manage a virtual company in international teams: June 2-6, 2025.
After intensive morning sessions, afternoons will be dedicated to integration activities, free time, and sightseeing tours in Bremen and Hamburg. The BIP program is an excellent opportunity to combine theory with practice, develop professional and intercultural skills, and gain experience in an international business environment.
Participants will receive Erasmus+ funding to support travel and accommodation arrangements in Bremen.
Participation in the program will be recognized as the completion of a 30-hour elective course in English, required by the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk.
Students of the Faculty of Economics (3rd year of undergraduate studies) are eligible to apply. A minimum B2 level of English proficiency must be documented. Additional selection criteria include:
- average grade for the entire study period – 0-3 points;
- completion of the winter semester (2024/2025) with no outstanding ECTS credits – 0.5 points;
- completion of specific courses (Finance, Financial Reporting Information Systems, Entrepreneurship in the International Market, International Competitiveness, Corporate Banking) – 0-2.5 points;
- participation in student organizations and/or academic clubs – 0-3 points;
- active engagement in the activities of the Faculty of Economics, UG – 0-2 points.
