Events and Projects for Students

  • LSEG Research Grant Competition 2022/2023 – a research grant competition for students of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk (WE UG), organized in collaboration with LSEG (Refinitiv); academic supervisors: Dr. Urszula Mrzygłód and Dr. Joanna Adamska-Mieruszewska.
  • Study visits for International Business Master’s students to international organizations headquartered in Geneva in 2019 and 2022, including the World Trade Organization (WTO), United Nations (UN) – UNCTAD, International Trade Centre (ITC), and International Labour Organization (ILO). The trip was financed by the project “Development Program for the University of Gdańsk (ProUG) No. POWR.03.05.00-00-Z308/17-00”; supervisors: Dr. hab. Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, Prof. UG, and Dr. Renata Orłowska.
  • Annual Christmas integration events (IB Christmas Party) for International Business Bachelor’s and Master’s students and faculty members; supervisors: Dr. Renata Orłowska and Dr. Katarzyna Osiecka-Brzeska.
  • Annual Sustainable Development Day project at the University of Gdańsk – Fair Trade Section (2019–2022); supervisors: Dr. Renata Orłowska and Dr. Katarzyna Osiecka-Brzeska.

  • University of Zaragoza, Spain (April 2022): Dr. hab. Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, Prof. UG, and Dr. Renata Orłowska delivered a lecture titled “The Multilateral Trading System – The World Trade Organization.”

  • Kobe University - Graduate Business School, Japan (January 2023): Dr. Renata Orłowska presented a lecture titled “International Economic Diplomacy – The Role of WTO.”

  • Western Sydney University, Australia (April 2022): Dr. hab. Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, Prof. UG, and Dr. Renata Orłowska delivered a lecture titled “Multilateral Trading System.”

  • 6th Erasmus+ Staff Training Week (Funchal Madeira, Portugal, December 5–9, 2022), ISAL | Instituto Superior de Administração e Línguas: Dr. hab. Krystyna Żołądkiewicz, Prof. UG, and Dr. Renata Orłowska conducted a training titled “How to Run an International Summer University?”.
