Characteristics:

Healthcare is a specific sector of the economy that combines business with work for the well-being of society. The prospects for the development of health care in Poland and the successive changes that are taking place in it oblige us to undertake the education of specialised managerial staff, prepared exactly for the needs of the medical industry.

Manager Health Care Technology. Healthcare Manager (MHCT) is a postgraduate program that provides participants with comprehensive knowledge in the field of medical facility management, with particular emphasis on fundraising, marketing, negotiations, and quality, economic and patient relationship aspects.

Students learn about modern telemedicine solutions and how to implement them effectively and in accordance with the law in healthcare facilities.
 

Program:
Students participate in lectures and exercises in the following thematic groups during two-semester classes.

SEMESTER I:

• Health economics and public health
• The healthcare market in Poland
• Basics of organisation and management of healthcare entities
• Basics of finance and accounting of healthcare entities
• Raising funds for healthcare
• Marketing in health services
• Negotiations in the health sector

SEMESTER II

• Introduction to telemedicine systems and data security in healthcare
• E-health and healthcare digitalisation
• Quality of healthcare services
• Medical staff management
• Logistics management of healthcare entities
• Process management of healthcare entities
• Diploma seminar

Staff:
Academics of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk

Duration:
2 semesters, classes are held on selected Saturdays and Sundays (8.00 a.m. – 6.30 p.m.)

Fees:
PLN 2,400 for one semester (2 x PLN 2,400)

The conditions for admission to the studies are:

• completion of higher education (master's or bachelor's degree),
• payment of an annual, semester or instalment fee,
• submission of a set of documents, i.e. application for admission to postgraduate studies (generated from the online registration system after enrolling in the edition of postgraduate studies), a copy of the higher education diploma, an ID photo, proof of payment for the studies.
