Dr. Sławomir Antkiewicz appointed to the Council of the National Centre for Research and Development
The Council consists of thirty representatives from scientific, socio-economic, and financial circles, including representatives of various ministries (mainly deputy ministers). The members' duties include setting priority areas for research and commercialization, determining the conditions for research and development project competitions, establishing the funds allocated to them, and announcing the competitions. The Centre's mission is to support Polish research institutions and businesses in enhancing their ability to create and utilize research-based solutions to stimulate economic growth
Distinction for the doctoral dissertation of a staff member of the Division
In 2018, Dr. Łukasz Dopierała, a staff member of the Division of International Financial Markets, received a distinction in the second edition of the Financial Ombudsman's competition for the best doctoral, master's, and bachelor's thesis in the doctoral category for his dissertation titled "Investment Efficiency of Individual Retirement Accounts Managed by Insurance Companies." The thesis was supervised by Prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider.

On January 8, 2018, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, the public defense of the doctoral dissertation by Mgr. Joanna Adamska, titled "Longevity Risk and Its Importance for the Stability of Pension Systems in EU Countries," took place.
The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider, with Dr. Magdalena Mosionek-Schweda as the assistant supervisor.
Reviewers in the doctoral process were:
• Prof. Sławomir Bukowski (Kazimierz Pulaski University of Technology and Humanities in Radom)
• Dr. hab. Marek Szczepański, Prof. PP (Poznan University of Technology)
The defense was accepted, and on January 18, 2018, the Faculty Council resolved to award the doctoral degree in economics with a distinction for the dissertation.
Distinguished doctoral dissertation of a staff member of the Division
On November 21, 2017, at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź, the public defense of the doctoral dissertation by Mgr. Łukasz Dopierała, titled "Investment Efficiency of Individual Retirement Accounts Managed by Insurance Companies," took place.
The dissertation was supervised by Prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider, with Dr. Urszula Mrzygłód as the assistant supervisor.

Silver Honorary Badge of the Polish Economic Society
Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz and Dr. Sławomir Antkiewicz were awarded the Silver Honorary Badge of the Polish Economic Society by the resolution of the National Board of the Society. The award ceremony took place on April 15, 2015, during the XXIV Congress of the PTE in Gdańsk.

Prestigious Award of the President of the National Bank of Poland
On October 18, 2010, Dr. Urszula Mrzygłód received the first prize in the President of the National Bank of Poland's competition for the best master's, doctoral, and habilitation theses in economics for her doctoral dissertation titled "The Development of an Integrated Capital Market in the European Union," supervised by Prof. Danuta Marciniak-Neider.
