Internship programme in general outline for students of Economics and International Business Relations, Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk
- Targets of student internship
- Widening knowledge acquired during the study and developing skills in its utilization
- Acquaintance with functioning of structures and mechanisms in the enterprise of the institution
- Deepening knowledge about particular branches of economy
- Developing skills necessary in future career, including analytical and organizational skills, team work, interpersonal skills, negotiating, etc.
- Teaching the student independence and responsibility for the entrusted tasks
- Creating convenient environment for active position on the labour market

- Acquaintance with the activity of the institution
- Acquaintance with the organizational structure, rules of individual sections and their mutual relations
- Acquaintance with the regulations of the economic entity (institution), labour discipline regulations, work safety regulations, firefighting regulations
- Acquaintance with management style in the institution
- Acquaintance with the computer system used by the institution
- Acquaintance with the developing strategy of the institution
- Acquaintance with interpersonal relations on the employee- client level
- Acquaintance with connections between the economic entity (institution) and the environment.
- Grounds for accepting the internship
After the internship’s completion the student is to submit a report to the internship tutor at Faculty of Economics (the report is to be in conformity with the specimen elaborated by Faculty of Economics). The report is to describe the course of the internship, carried out tasks and achieved results. The report is to be confirmed by the internship supervisor representing the organizer.
