University of Gdańsk Bicycle Ride

On Sunday, October 19, the University of Gdańsk Bicycle Ride “UG on BIKES” took place — an event that brought together enthusiasts of active recreation, nature, and academic community integration. The weather that day was simply perfect! Autumn sunshine, a clear blue sky, and pleasant temperatures created ideal conditions for a shared journey and for enjoying the beauty of an October day.

Participants began their route at the Faculty of Oceanography and Geography in Gdynia, setting off towards Sopot. Along the way, they were accompanied not only by admiration for the coastal landscapes, but also by the joy of spending time together among students, doctoral candidates, and staff members from various faculties of the University of Gdańsk. At the Faculty of Economics in Sopot, a short break was planned, with coffee and sweet treats offering a moment to rest, chat, and regain energy before continuing the ride.

The rally concluded at the main campus of the University of Gdańsk in Gdańsk, where participants were welcomed with a barbecue and friendly integration. It was a perfect opportunity to share impressions from the route, enjoy a relaxed atmosphere, and strengthen bonds within the university community.

The event was organized by:

  • Logistics Students Club,
  • CDN – To Be Continued,
  • Center for Student and Doctoral Activity,
  • Student Scientific Club of Oceanography,
  • Scientific Club Konsylium,
  • Scientific Club of Entrepreneurship Start-Up (supporting circle).

The ride would not have been possible without the support of sponsors and partners, to whom we extend our sincere thanks for their cooperation and commitment:

  • Mevo,
  • Northgate Logistics,
  • Piekarnia Okruszek,
  • Oshee.

The media patron of the event was Radio MORS.

Once again, the University of Gdańsk Bicycle Ride proved that shared initiatives can unite, inspire, and remind us of the importance of building relationships beyond the classroom. It was a day full of smiles, movement, and positive energy — one that will long remain in the memories of all participants.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us that day — for the shared journey, kind words, smiles, and for spending such a beautiful autumn Sunday together.

It is worth noting that representatives of the Faculty of Economics made up more than half of the participants in the ride.

Is this the last University of Gdańsk Bicycle Rally?

We truly hope it’s just the beginning of a wonderful tradition!

We would also like to thank Klaudia Dykier and the CDN – To Be Continued team for the photographic coverage of the event.
