This marks another academic year in which Academic Meetings were held under the "Talented from Pomerania 2.0 – University of Gdańsk" project. The spring workshops took place at the University of Gdańsk's Oliwa Campus on April 12, 2025.

The workshop was part of a broader program aimed at developing social competencies, which are an essential complement to economic knowledge.

The topic of the session, led by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics, was "Time is Money: How to Manage Yourself in Time." The participants were students from primary schools (grades 7–8) and secondary schools from across the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

During the session, students learned and practised one of the key social competencies – time management. The classes combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, focusing on planning, goal setting, and making compromises in time organisation.

Participants worked both individually and in teams, which helped reveal different perspectives on time and highlighted the need to consider others' needs in planning. The workshop included an introductory lecture and practical activities on time management techniques. Based on what they learned, students developed their own sets of strategies for managing everyday challenges.

The interactive format of the classes fostered communication and teamwork skills, with all participants engaging enthusiastically in the numerous workshop tasks.

Time management skills are not only crucial for daily functioning but also form an important element of learning in subjects designed to build practical skills, depending on the chosen specialisation or module.

The lecturers wished all participants success in achieving their goals, wise time management, and the courage to take on inspiring challenges!

The workshop was conducted by dr Magdalena Markiewicz from the Department of International Business and dr Sylwia Machowska-Okrój from the Department of Microeconomics, Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk.

The next workshops as part of the “Talented from Pomerania 2.0 – University of Gdańsk” program will be conducted by lecturers from the Faculty of Economics in September, right after the school holidays.
