Visit from the British University in Egypt
At the invitation of Prof. Joanna Bednarz, we hosted Dr. Hossam Deraz from the British University in Egypt at the Faculty of Economics from 6th to 10th May 2024. Dr. Deraz specializes in marketing, consumer behavior, innovation, and entrepreneurship. He gained research experience while working at the Academy of Business, Technology, and Natural Sciences at Halmstad University in Sweden. His research focused on the impact of the digital age on companies' marketing activities.
Dr. Deraz conducted workshops for students of the Faculty of Economics UG on 'Attitude and Persuasive Communication in an International Context' (3rd-year HZ SS1) and 'Subcultures and Consumer Attitudes' (1st-year SRB SS2). The discussions among the students, as well as the conclusions and insights drawn, were highly valuable.
The cooperation with the British University in Egypt was established through the UG Faculty of Economics' involvement in the international NICE Network (New Initiatives and Challenges in Europe). The application for the Erasmus+ KA 171 programme was prepared by Prof. Joanna Bednarz and Prof. Anna Blajer-Gołębiewska.
