On February 23, 2026, we welcomed our new Erasmus+ students at the Faculty of Economics
On February 23, 2026, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk hosted an information meeting for Erasmus+ students who will be starting their studies at our Faculty in the summer semester.
The event provided an opportunity to officially welcome guests and provide key organizational information regarding their studies and academic life.
Students from Uzbekistan, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Greece, Kazakhstan, the USA, Taiwan, Indonesia, France, Morocco, and Germany participated in the meeting. This wide range of participants confirms the Faculty's growing international cooperation and its openness to cultural diversity.
Our guests were welcomed by Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz, Vice-Dean for Development and Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment; Dr. Leszek Reszka, Vice-Dean for Student Affairs and Education, a professor at the University of Gdańsk; Dr. Agata Olechnowicz-Szewczyk, Faculty Coordinator for Erasmus+ Student Incoming Visits; and Ms. Ewa Krukurka, Senior Administrative Specialist for Erasmus+ Student Incoming Visits, representing the Dean's Office.
They emphasized the importance of internationalizing education, wishing the students a fruitful semester, many inspiring experiences, and academic success.
During the meeting, the most important issues related to the first days in Poland and at the Faculty of Economics were discussed. Many questions were asked during the Q&A session.
We also learned about the detailed academic calendar and opportunities to pursue our interests during our stay at the University of Gdańsk. We are pleased that our Faculty is once again a meeting place for diverse cultures and perspectives.
We wish all students a successful stay and unforgettable memories of their time at our University!
