He reflected on the era of rapid technological advancement, noting that while artificial intelligence can produce accurate and well-structured texts, it can never replace the depth of human experience and emotion.

The Dean highlighted that AI may replicate style and logic, but it cannot convey genuine memories, feelings, or the sense of pride and gratitude that define moments like this one. It is precisely these emotions that make the celebration truly human and meaningful.

He reminded the audience that in both academia and professional life, technology should serve as a tool, but that is people, through their empathy, creativity, and emotional intelligence, who give it purpose. Concluding his speech, he congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to combine knowledge and rationality with sensitivity and a human perspective in all they pursue.

The Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the University of Gdańsk, dr hab. Urszula Patocka-Sigłowy, professor at the University of Gdańsk, welcomed the Dean's College, professors, alumni, their parents and friends, and the entire university community on behalf of the university authorities.

The Vice-Rector emphasized that together we celebrate the fruits of the alumni's hard work, their determination, and perseverance. Thanks to them, the work of lecturers and learning is not just a duty, but a true adventure. The walls and lecture halls are, above all, people – they are US, our shared activities and passions.

At the end of her warm and gracious address, the Vice-Rector addressed the graduates with the words: "May this day be the beginning of a beautiful, passionate, and fulfilling journey for you. Go through life with your heads held high and your hearts held high, because the world needs people like you."

A tradition at the Alumni Gala is also the presentation of speeches by representatives of employers and alumni.

Anna Krzyśko-Vasković, President of the Management Board of Northgate Logistics, spoke on behalf of employers and representatives of the business community.

In her inspiring speech, the invited entrepreneur shared her personal reflections on the career path and challenges awaiting newly minted master's degree holders. She presented the story of her own freight forwarding company, built from scratch through determination, passion, and collaboration with people who believed in a shared vision.

She emphasized that success doesn't come easily, and the real challenges are just beginning – related to building a career, acquiring clients, and investors. At the same time, she encouraged the graduates to never give up, even if failures occur, as each is only the beginning of a new journey.

Addressing the audience as an employer, she emphasized that committed and consistent individuals are most valued in the job market. These are the qualities that the University of Gdańsk graduates have already demonstrated by achieving their academic goals. The President concluded her speech with congratulations on behalf of all employers, wishing the young economists courage and self-confidence.

Then Michalina Noga, M.A., and Przemysław Sadowski, M.A., spoke on behalf of the graduates.

Michalina Noga, M.A., a graduate of the full-time second-cycle program in International Business, received her second award as the best student in her year. She had already spoken as a graduate at the bachelor's degree graduation ceremony and looked back with a smile, recalling the emotions and enthusiasm accompanying her first diploma. She emphasized that while both stages are unique, they differ in their maturity. Master's studies are a time of conscious choices, specialization, and the deepening of passions that shape future career paths. She noted that today she is filled not only with joy but also with reflection on the path she has taken and gratitude to the people who have supported her. In conclusion, she wished all the graduates never to lose their curiosity about the world and the courage to pursue their dreams.

Mr. Przemysław Sadowski, M.A., graduate of the full-time second-cycle studies in International Economic Relations, specialization in International Finance and Banking, emphasized the special character of this milestone, reflecting on five years filled with learning, growth, challenges, and unforgettable experiences that shaped a new generation of young economists both professionally and personally. He fondly recalled the early days of studies that coincided with the pandemic, when - despite the difficulties of remote learning - students demonstrated determination and mutual support, culminating in today’s celebration of their shared success.

The graduate expressed heartfelt gratitude to the lecturers and academic supervisors, including his promoter, as well as to family and friends who supported the students throughout their educational journey. He highlighted the Faculty of Economics as a place that fosters scientific, professional, and personal development, encouraging the pursuit of passions and the formation of lasting friendships.

Concluding his address, the graduate wished everyone courage in pursuing their dreams, unwavering curiosity about the world, and confidence in their own potential, quoting Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: “Make your life a dream, and a dream a reality.”

The most emotional point of the meeting was the presentation of graduation diplomas to all graduates of individual fields and specialisations.

The graduates received diplomas and congratulations from the Vice-Rector Prof. Urszula Patocka-Sigłowy, and the Dean, Prof. Wojciech Bizon, in the presence of its Promoters.

The graduates, along with the supervisors of individual seminars in the fields of Business and Environmental Technology, Economics, then International Economic Relations, International Business, and Logistics and Mobility were invited to collect the diplomas in their seminar groups.

The music academic accent was associated with the listening of a traditional academic song, Gaudeamus Igitur, composed at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries.

The ceremony concluded with a group photo taken in beautiful academic gowns with swirling birettas, commemorating the solemn moment of awarding diplomas.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates and wish them continued achievement!

Dean's Team, Graduate Supervisors,
and the entire community of the Faculty of Economics,
