Represent UG students on the international stage! Recruitment for the second edition of SEA-EU Ambassadors is now underway.

Would you like to gain international experience? Do you shoot videos, create graphics or write texts? Do you enjoy organising events, or perhaps you are interested in marketing? We are waiting for you. Develop your skills and become a SEA-EU Student Ambassador!

The SEA-EU Ambassadors Programme is a 12-month paid internship during which UG students actively participate in the implementation of an international project of universities affiliated with the SEA-EU alliance. It is an opportunity to collaborate in promoting SEA-EU initiatives, organising events, and participating in international meetings. The deadline for applications is October 14.

‘We invite both students with versatile skills and those who specialise in a specific field to join the programme. We approach each participant individually, determining the scope of work and strategies for action,’ says internship coordinator Marcel Jakubowski. It may be an overused term these days, but we strive to ensure that the programme offers real opportunities for development.’

SEA-EU is an alliance of nine coastal universities in Europe, which creates a common space for the development of education, research, skills enhancement and cross-border relations. Together with our partners from Gdańsk, Cádiz, Brest, Kiel, Split, Malta, Naples, Algarve and Bodø, we are taking action to realise the vision of a truly European University - open, international and ready to face contemporary social and environmental challenges.

‘Ambassadors regularly participate in alliance meetings and events, both virtually and in person. For example, the winners of the first edition took part in the SEA-EU Student Council meeting in Kiel, represented the University of Gdańsk during the end of the Polish Presidency of the European Union in Brussels, and were included in the meetings of the Alliance's Communication Office,’ adds Marcel Jakubowski.

As part of SEA-EU, students from the University of Gdańsk attend international scientific conferences, take part in courses prepared by partner universities, and create joint projects with students from other countries. The role of the SEA-EU Ambassador will be to represent UG students in international SEA-EU student bodies and to support the promotion of the alliance's offer among the UG academic community.
