A welcome meeting for Erasmus+ Incoming Students was organised on October 1 at the Faculty of Economics
On October 1, 2025, a welcome meeting was held for Erasmus+ students arriving at the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk, for the winter semester in room C301.
51 students from across Europe will participate in the bilateral exchange program during the winter semester. Dr Agata Olechnowicz-Szewczyk is the Erasmus+ coordinator for incoming students at the Faculty of Economics.
The meeting was opened by Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Education, dr Leszek Reszka, prof. UG, who warmly welcomed all participants and introduced the team of faculty members who would be co-leading the event. After a brief introduction, the Deputy Dean presented the key features of the Faculty of Economics website, highlighting the information most relevant for international students.
Next, Dr Agata Olechnowicz-Szewczyk, Erasmus+ coordinator at the Faculty of Economics, discussed the structure of the academic year 2025/2026 at the Faculty of Economics, highlighting where students can find their class schedules. Dr Olechnowicz-Szewczyk also encouraged students to regularly check the university website and our social media, where up-to-date information about events and important announcements is regularly shared.
The following part of the meeting focused on practical information regarding the use of university systems. Ms Anna Łojewska and Ms Ewa Krukurka from the Dean's Office explained how students can log in to the University of Gdańsk's IT systems. They also provided information about university procedures.
The meeting concluded with a Q&A session, during which students had the opportunity to address any doubts and get additional information.
At the end of the event, participants received university gadgets, and a group photo was taken with our newly arrived Erasmus+ students.
After the official part of the meeting, students were given a tour of the faculty, which allowed them to become more familiar with the spaces they will be using throughout their studies.
