Meeting with the Head of the UG Careers Office "I have this power, or soft skills needed right now" will be led by Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz

Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz during an online meeting with the Head of the Careers Office, Ms. Aleksandra Stenke on the topic "I have this power, or soft skills needed right now", which will take place on May 6, 2025, will present this issue, based on the experience of the Tri-City labor market, global trends, and analyses and interviews with representatives of domestic and international companies present in Poland. We encourage you to participate, ask questions and discuss!

 

The lecture is part of the Open Economic Lectures series at the University of Gdańsk. This is the 10th edition of these exceptional, cyclical meetings with economics, which take place on selected Tuesdays at 5.30 pm.

Magdalena Markiewicz - She is a teaching and research fellow, on the position of assistant professor in the Department of International Business at the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk. Her research interests focus on financial markets, internationalisation of currencies, banking, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity, and global financial centres. She is the author of numerous scientific publications and numerous awards and prizes. Dr Markiewicz actively participates in research projects and collaborates with national and international institutions. She is involved in the development of didactics and international cooperation, and also performs organisational functions related to the mobility of students and academic staff. She currently holds the position of Vice-Dean for Development and Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment.
