Science Clubs Day at the Faculty of Economics – a celebration of passion and commitment

On March 25, 2025, the 1st Science Club Day at the Faculty of Economics took place, during which as many as 11 science clubs operating at the faculty presented their interests and achievements in a specially organised science clubs area.

The 1st Science Clubs Day at the Faculty of Economics is a unique event that integrates in one place so many student scientific initiatives constantly being created at the Faculty of Economics. It is a celebration of passion and knowledge, and above all, a chance to discover the potential of the unique field of study in an interactive and inspiring way.

On March 25, 2025, the space of our faculty around the historic Tadeusz Ocioszyński Hall was transformed into an open science club zone full of energy, where every student, regardless of year and specialization, could find out what the Faculty of Economics lives for after classes.

The event accompanied the parallel activities of the Faculty of Economics Open Day. Members of 11 active scientific groups prepared thematic quizzes, games, simulations, mini-workshops and talks at the stands - all to share their knowledge and show that science can be engaging, practical and... engaging!

Why was this event so important? Why is it worth being involved in a scientific group?

A scientific club:

  • inspires action - by learning about projects implemented by scientific groups, you can discover new areas of interest or ideas for a personal development path.
  • shows development opportunities outside the lecture hall - activities in a group are not just about theory - they include trips, competitions, conferences, meetings with businesses, creating initiatives and a tangible impact on the life of the university.
  • builds a community - an ideal opportunity to meet people who share our interests. Sometimes, one conversation can turn into long-term cooperation, an internship, or even the creation of a company in the future.
  • helps to know the fields of study better - interactive forms that students prepare as part of their activities allow you to understand how theory translates into practice.
  • develops soft and hard skills - by participating in the activities of the clubs, you learn teamwork, project organisation, public speaking or data analysis - competences valued on the labor market.

The clubs present at the event were:
- Electronic Business Science Club,
- Behavioral Finance Science Club,
- International Finance Science Club,
- Hazet Science Club,
- Economic Policy Science Club,
- Start-Up Entrepreneurship Science Club,
- Academic Tutoring Science Club,
- Maritime Science Club,
- Logistics Science Club,
- Student Business Club,
- AI Club.

Each scientific club opened different doors for us – from finance and business, logistics, economic policy, to startups, tutoring, international trade, maritime transport and new technologies.

We hope to continue this new tradition in the next academic year!
