About Tricity

The Gdansk Region is one of the richest and the most populated regions of northern Poland. The city lies on the shore of the Baltic Sea, in a conurbation with the spa town of Sopot, the city of Gdynia and suburban communities, which together form a metropolitan area called the Tricity, with a population of over 800,000. It is a large centre of economic life, science, culture and a popular tourist destination. Tricity is well connected with Europe through its extensive network of transport connections: Lech Walesa International Airport, two major seaports with a range of ferry connections to Scandinavia, A1 motorway and well-developed railway network. Living in Tricity will allow you in free time to discover the virtues of Poland and Central Europe. The University of Gdansk offers accommodation to its students in a number of dormitories spread around the Tricity.
