The new issue of the “Student Journal of the Faculty of Economics” already available
On 30 September 2026, the latest issue of the “Student Journal of the Faculty of Economics” was published. The journal showcases the academic and research achievements of young authors and shows the many ways academic publishing can begin.
The new issue includes articles developed through seminars at the University of Gdańsk and other universities, academic tutoring, the LSEG Research Grants competition, and Individual Interdisciplinary Studies, as well as papers resulting from authors’ independent research interests and their desire for further academic development.
The editorial team of the Faculty of Economics (Prof. Sylwia Pangsy-Kania, Dr Magdalena Markiewicz, Prof. Iwona Sobol, Prof. Leszek Reszka, Dr Łukasz Dopierała) oversaw the academic and editorial quality of the publications and supported authors at successive stages of preparing their manuscripts.
For many students and early-career researchers, publishing in the “Student Journal” represents an important first experience of preparing an academic article, participating in the peer-review process and working with an editorial team.
We congratulate all Authors on their publications and wish them great satisfaction with this achievement as well as continued academic development. We also sincerely thank the Reviewers for their commitment and the University Printing Team for preparing the new issue.
We warmly invite readers to explore the latest issue and discover a range of interesting analyses concerning the contemporary economy and the world around us.
The cover features the Economic Park, a space created at the Faculty of Economics as part of the University Civic Budget initiative. During the academic year, it is a place for meetings, conversations and new ideas.
Perhaps, in the new academic year, inspiration for another article will emerge there.
We encourage students to develop their own research interests and to submit papers for future issues of the “Student Journal of the Faculty of Economics”. A good idea, a well-formulated research question and a consistently conducted analysis can become the starting point for a first academic publication.
