Great Performance by Economics Faculty Student Michał Bartoszuk in GT Cup Italia
Michał Bartoszuk, a student of the Faculty of Economics and a driver representing MM Motorsport, has achieved another success on the international motorsport stage.
During a round of the prestigious GT Cup Italia championship at the renowned Mugello Circuit, the Polish driver, alongside his teammate Leonardo Arduini, delivered a strong performance and showed impressive race pace.
Following challenging qualifying sessions, the Polish-Italian duo faced a difficult task. The Balance of Performance (BoP) adjustments implemented in the GT Cup Italia series significantly affected the competitiveness of Lamborghini cars, resulting in a less favorable starting position. Michał Bartoszuk finished the qualifying session in 14th place.
Despite this setback, the drivers showed great skill, consistency, and a well-executed race strategy, steadily climbing through the races. In Race 1, they advanced from 14th to 10th place overall and secured 8th place in the PRO-AM class. In Race 2, an impressive recovery drive resulted in 6th place overall and 6th place in the PRO-AM class.
As our student, Michał Bartoszuk commented:
“Despite our unfortunate qualifying session, the races themselves went very well. We showed that we can fight our way through the field and make up significant ground during a race. Of course, had qualifying gone better, or had the series not changed our BoP, we could have been in a completely different position. Lamborghini teams faced considerable challenges, but despite that, we proved that we can be competitive even with a performance-limited car”.
The excellent result achieved at Mugello confirms Michał Bartoszuk’s high sporting level and determination in competing against the leading drivers of the GT Cup Italia series.
