Student of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk awarded the Daniel Fahrenheit Scholarship

We are pleased to announce that Mr. Dawid Zając, a student of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk, has been awarded a scholarship for outstanding contributions to the city of Gdańsk.

The ceremonial presentation of the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk Scholarships named after Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit for the academic year 2025/2026 took place on April 8, 2026, at the New Town Hall.

The scholarships were presented by the Mayor of the City of Gdańsk, Ms. Aleksandra Dulkiewicz.

The Mayor of the City of Gdańsk Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit Scholarship Programme offers financial support to those who dream of studying abroad, to outstanding and socially engaged students from Gdańsk, and to young international researchers undertaking internships at one of Gdańsk’s public universities.

Mr. Dawid Zając is a student of International Economic Relations (Master’s degree) with a specialization in Global Financial Services. He combines academic activity with social engagement, including his involvement in the Hazet Student Research Club, organizing academic events and actively participating in university life.

Students who have been registered residents of Gdańsk for at least three years, study full-time, and have completed at least their second year of studies may apply for a one-time scholarship for outstanding contributions to the city of Gdańsk. Laureates in this category receive a one-time grant ranging from PLN 10,000 to PLN 20,000.
