Logistics Students Club invites you to the next Meeting with Logistics Practice which will take place on December 15th at 9:45 a.m. in room C301. This time, the speaker will be Jakub Wawrzyniuk Processing Director from Gdańsk Refinery.

Jakub Wawrzyniuk: Processing Director at Gdańsk Refinery
17 years in Gas&Oil Industry with experience in Logistics, Fuel Supply Chain and refinery production planning and optimisation.
Chairman of Advisory Council for Petroleum Reserves at the President of Governmental Strategic Reserves Agency (RARS) and a member of the Council since 2018.
For seven years he was a Secretary of the Supervisory Board of Naftoport – strategic company for national energy security – being the biggest fuel terminal in Poland and the only Polish sea terminal for crude deliveries.
He believes that even if something is working, it still may be done better. Therefore he loves and enjoys learning new and different things – whether it’s from experience, books, or his favorite – from other people’s wisdom.
A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk. He speaks fluently Polish (mother tongue), English, French and Russian.
He is always eager to challenge his perspective and broaden his horizons…

Gdańsk Refinery is one of the most efficient and complex refineries in Europe and is a key element of the national fuel supply chain and national energy security. Thanks to its ownership structure (70% owned by Orlen S.A. and 30% by a company from the Aramco Capital Group), Gdańsk Refinery will actively participate in the development and implementation of green fuels for transportation.
About the meeting:
During the meeting, the speaker will discuss the main components of the national crude oil and fuel logistics system, covering both primary and secondary logistics. He will also present the framework of the national compulsory oil and fuel stock obligation system and provide examples of its intervention releases to the market in recent years.
Additionally, attendees will learn about the fuel market in Poland today and about the fuels that will drive Poland’s economic growth in the future in the context of regulations aimed at reducing their emissions.
