Competitions for the Best Master's, Doctoral, and Habilitation Theses – NBP President’s Award
The National Bank of Poland is pleased to announce the 17th edition of the Competition for the Best Master's Thesis and the 9th edition of the Competition for the Best Doctoral and Habilitation Theses in the field of economic sciences.
The competitions aim to promote interest among students, graduates, and researchers in macroeconomics and finance, particularly monetary policy and financial markets.
Eligible participants:
- Authors of master’s theses defended in 2024.
- Authors of doctoral and habilitation theses defended in 2023–2024.
Submissions are accepted until June 20, 2025. Applications may be submitted by the authors themselves, their supervisors, or academic institutions (with the author’s consent).
Awards:
For master's theses:
- 1st prize – 15,000 PLN
- 2nd prize – 10,000 PLN
- 3rd prize – 7,000 PLN
- Two honorable mentions – 5,000 PLN each
For doctoral theses:
- Main award – 30,000 PLN
- Three honorable mentions – 10,000 PLN each
For habilitation theses:
- Main award – 50,000 PLN
- Three honorable mentions – 20,000 PLN each
