Collaboration with Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences within the Intensive Digital Marketing Course
From March 31 to April 4, 2025, the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk hosted students and academic staff from Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Nordhausen) in Germany. The visit was part of the Intensive Digital Marketing course organized within the framework of short-term mobility under the Erasmus+ programme.
Students from Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences, together with third-year students of the International Economic Relations programme, specializing in International Marketing and International Managerial Economics, collaborated in international project teams that included participants from India, Germany, and Poland. Their collaborative projects in digital marketing addressed topics such as: Helping Young Individuals Find Their Right Educational Path, Eco-Friendly Freight Shipping/Transport Exchange, Sustainable-Friendly Shopping, Independent Filmmaking Crowdfunding.
The academic programme is led by: prof. Jan Millemann (digital marketing, innovation implementation, change management), dr Fabian Schmitz (marketing), prof. Joanna Bednarz (brand management, design thinking), dr Marcin Krzaczek (digital marketing), dr Aleksandra Aziewicz (social media marketing, design thinking)
An integral part of the course includes practical e-marketing workshops delivered by professionals from JohnnyBros, focusing on SEO and SEM.
The visit programme also included sightseeing in the Tricity area: the historic Main Town of Gdańsk (with a licensed guide), the Museum of the Second World War, as well as tours of Sopot and Gdynia city centre.
This visit continues the long-standing cooperation between the Faculty of Economics and Nordhausen University of Applied Sciences. The next stage of the joint project will be a return visit of students from the Faculty of Economics to Nordhausen, scheduled for May 2025. It will constitute the second part of the Intensive Digital Marketing course.
