Let’s talk with a banker about skills of the future. The lecture "Competencies of the future" by Mr. Andrzej Ostrowski from ING Bank Śląski S.A. will be held on 3.12.2024.

The lecture is related to the "Corporate Banking" course, which specialises in International Finance and Banking. Still, it is an open lecture to which we invite all people interested in banking, corporate finance and financial markets.
The meeting will be held at the Faculty of Economics, University of Gdańsk from 9:45 to 11:15 in room C204.

Mr. Andrzej Ostrowski is an experienced manager and regional director for the Pomeranian and Warmian-Masurian Voivodeships and a member of the Expert Council of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk.

Dynamic technological changes, globalisation and the growing importance of sustainable development shape the labour market of the 21st century. What skills will be crucial to find your way in this new reality? The answer to this question will be presented by an experienced banker who will talk about future competencies from a leader's perspective in the financial sector.

During the lecture, participants will learn:

  • What soft and technical skills will be sought most in the coming years?
  • How is digital transformation changing the requirements for employees?
  • Why is the ability to adapt, innovativeness and emotional intelligence becoming vital in building a career?
  • How is the financial industry preparing for future challenges, and what lessons can be transferred from this to other sectors?

The lecture will not only be an opportunity to learn about labour market forecasts but also an inspiration to develop skills that will allow participants to face the future successfully.
