Python in Research: From Data to Decisions – Webinar Invitation

How can Python be useful for students of economics, social sciences, and humanities? What does data analysis involve, and is it possible to get started without any programming experience? We invite you to a webinar exploring the practical applications of Python.
The webinar will take place on 6 November 2026, from 3:15 PM to 4:45 PM, online via Microsoft Teams. It will be led by Zuzanna Borda, PhD, from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk. The webinar will be conducted in Polish.
Programme:
- Why learn Python? Applications in studies, research, and professional work.
- From data to insights – a demonstration of calculations and data visualisation.
- What do customer reviews tell us? A demonstration of quantitative text analysis.
- How to get started? Learning from scratch, information about the planned course, and a Q&A session.
The webinar is primarily aimed at students of economics, social sciences, and humanities, but students from other fields interested in data analysis are also welcome. No prior programming experience is required.
The webinar will also provide information about a planned 30-hour Python course to be offered in the summer semester.
