Students Meet with Representatives of Ocean Network Express
On June 1, third-year students of the Economics. specializing in Economics of Transport and Logistics took part in a meeting with representatives of Ocean Network Express (ONE). The event was organized as part of the Transport Markets course taught by Anna Michalska-Szajer, M.A.
The company was represented by Michael Cooper, Director, Ewa Cetner, Head of HR & General Affairs, and Karolina Sas-Bojarska, Senior HR Advisor Poland.
During the meeting, students had the opportunity to gain insights into the current situation in the container shipping market and the challenges faced by shipping companies operating on a global scale. Michael Cooper discussed the impact of the current geopolitical situation on global supply chains, highlighting both the risks and opportunities arising from today's rapidly changing economic environment. He also presented the measures undertaken by ONE in response to contemporary market challenges.
An important part of the meeting focused on the key requirements of modern logistics, particularly issues related to transport security and sustainable development.
Michael Cooper’s presentation attracted considerable interest among the students. He demonstrated that even the most complex issues related to global container shipping can be explained in a clear and accessible manner. His charisma and openness to discussion encouraged active participation, with students eagerly sharing their views and asking questions.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the representatives of Ocean Network Express for this inspiring meeting and for sharing their knowledge and practical experience in the field of international transport and logistics.
