ACCA Student Awarded at the European Financial Congress 2026
We are pleased to announce that Dominika Sabiszewska, a master's student at the University of Gdańsk, enrolled in an ACCA-accredited study pathway and a graduate of the International Managerial Economics programme, has been named a recipient of an award granted as part of the European Financial Congress (EFC) Academy 2026.
The award winner's academic interests focus on the digitalisation of financial systems and financial crime prevention and anti-money laundering (AML). These areas also form the core of her master's research, which focuses on reporting standards in the European Union. In her work, she combines rigorous financial analysis with a modern approach to market transparency and the security of financial systems. Her professional goal is to obtain full ACCA membership and contribute to the development of secure and efficient financial systems in the era of digital transformation.
The EFC Academy Award is a prestigious distinction granted by a jury composed of representatives from both the business and academic communities. The Jury of the EFC Academy Competition 2026 consisted of:

- Monika Jezierska – Partner at EY; Quality, Risk Management & Delivery Excellence, Europe Central and Central Asia,
- Sebastian Skuza – Professor at the University of Warsaw,
- Mirosław Szreder – Professor at the University of Gdańsk.
Ms Sabiszewska's nomination was submitted by Dr hab. Anna Blajer-Gołębiewska, Professor at the University of Gdańsk, who recognised her commitment and consistent development in the fields of finance and accounting.
