Every Choice Has Its Story Conference “Our Matters - Your Future”

On March 27, 2026, the conference “Our Matters - Your Future” was held at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdańsk. The event was addressed to students and teachers and focused on developing practical life and professional skills.

The conference demonstrated how to make decisions both everyday ones and those shaping our educational and career paths as well as how to develop passions, build self-confidence, and consciously shape one’s future.

The aim of the event was to present participants with proven methods of problem-solving and decision-making in school, work, and everyday life. The conference covered topics such as building authentic self-confidence, coping with stress, making conscious decisions, and directing passions toward future career paths. An important message of the event was that the future is a process that young people can shape through their choices.

The conference was organized by the IX High School in Gdańsk, the Eventre Association, the City of Gdańsk, and the University of Gdańsk.

The program included seven thematic panels dedicated to skills that are not always developed in formal education: “How to Learn Independently”, “From Stress to Success”, “Student CEO - How to Build Something of Your Own Before University”, “The Art of Decision-Making”, “Speak with Confidence - Present with Awareness”, “From Passion to Competence - How Student Organizations Teach Action”, and a panel for mentors: “How to Support Without Interfering.”

As part of the conference, the Logistics Students Club was invited to participate in the panel “From Passion to Competence - How Student Organizations Teach Action”, which showcased the activities and experiences of student organizations.

Julia Łaska and Julia Kalinowska presented the nature of the Logistics Students Club’s activities, demonstrating how involvement in student initiatives contributes to the development of practical, organizational, and interpersonal competencies. Their presentation emphasized the process of turning ideas into real actions, the importance of gaining experience, and the role of academic engagement in shaping the development paths of young people.

The panel also featured representatives of other student organizations from the University of Gdańsk, including the Psychological Research Club Experior and SciClub, creating an opportunity for an inspiring exchange of experiences.

The conference left behind an important reflection that the future is not something distant, but begins here and now, in the decisions we make every day.
