Call for Applications! Grant Programme of the Fahrenheit Universities Association and the investGDA Foundation
Applications for the Fahrenheit Synergy Programme are open until 25 April. Within this programme, research groups from the Gdańsk Medical University, Gdańsk University of Technology, and the University of Gdańsk can obtain funding for a project worth up to PLN 750,000.
Grant applications may be submitted by teams consisting of three research groups, each operating at a different university (GUMed, PG, UG). Each group is headed by a leader who is an employee of the given university, for whom this institution constitutes their primary place of employment.
What are the evaluation criteria for applications?
- Scientific achievements of the research group leaders (including scientific publications, patents, completed research projects) – up to 10 points,
- Research plan (scientific outcome, impact of the research on the socio-economic environment, degree of interdisciplinarity, impact of the research on the individual development of team members, synergy resulting from cooperation between research groups) – up to 20 points.
Additional points may be awarded for applications that assume the project’s compliance with the National Smart Specialisation (KIS), which defines priority areas within research, development and innovation (R&D&I). The currently valid version, effective from 13 February 2023, is available both on the government website of the Ministry of Development and Technology (www.gov.pl) and on the official KIS website (www.smart.gov.pl).
The Fahrenheit Synergy Programme is financed by funds from the Daniel Fahrenheit Association of Universities in Gdańsk, including those originating from a donation provided for this purpose by the InvestGDA Foundation in Gdańsk, as well as financial contributions allocated for this purpose by the Gdańsk Medical University, Gdańsk University of Technology, and the University of Gdańsk. The initiative is supported by the City of Gdańsk.
