NDEX Investment Challenge Student Investment Competition – Test Your Skills and Win Prizes
Students and post-secondary school students are invited to test their investment skills in the nationwide INDEX Investment Challenge. It is the largest educational investment competition in Poland, offering participants an opportunity to gain practical experience in the capital market while competing for attractive cash prizes and an internship at the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The competition is organized by the Fundacja GPW in cooperation with the INDEX Capital Market Research Club operating at the Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie. Students from all fields of study—both from universities in Poland and abroad—as well as post-secondary school students are invited to participate. Importantly, no prior investment experience is required. Notably, the winner of the 2023 edition was a… medical student.
The competition takes place on the GPWtr@der platform. Each participant receives a virtual investment account and a specified amount of virtual funds, which can be invested in companies listed in the WIG20, mWIG40, and sWIG80 indices, as well as in ETFs and futures contracts.
Registration for the competition is now open and will remain available until May 31. Organizers encourage participants to register as early as possible. Early registration provides access to a full series of educational webinars, more time to develop and test investment strategies, and the opportunity to observe the market, learn, and invest without time pressure.
The winner of the main competition session will receive a cash prize of PLN 7.500,00 and a one-month internship at the Giełda Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie. The total prize pool exceeds PLN 60,000. The top 10 participants will qualify for the final round, which will take place in the Trading Floor Hall. The winner of the final session will receive an additional PLN 4.000,00. All finalists will also receive vouchers for the training course “Stock Market for Intermediate Participants.”

- April 1 – May 31 – main competition session
- June 11 – final session at the Trading Floor Hall and official award ceremony
