Results of the competition for the best master's thesis in the field of financial review and audit named after Dr. Zdzisław Fedak
On February 6, at the headquarters of the Polish Audit Oversight Agency (PANA), an award ceremony was held for the competition for the best master's thesis in the field of financial review and audit named after Dr. Zdzisław Fedak.
We are proud to announce that Oliwia Frańczak, a graduate of the University of Gdansk, took third place in the competition.
The award-winning thesis, entitled “The impact of creative accounting on the reliability of financial statements in the context of opinions from audits by certified auditors,” was written under the supervision of Dr. Joanna Hartenberger-Liszek at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdansk.
The subject matter of the thesis is in line with current and extremely important issues related to the quality of financial reporting, the reliability of economic information, and the role of the auditor in the financial market supervision system. The distinction in this nationwide competition confirms the high level of research conducted by students of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdansk and their strong scientific competence in the field of accounting and auditing.
