Sporting Success of a Student from the Faculty of Economics!

We extend our congratulations to Ms Iga Dębska on her success in the Academic Volleyball League.

During the first meeting of the Senate of the University of Gdańsk in 2026, the women’s volleyball team JohnnyBros AZS UG was honoured for winning the championship title of the Academic League in the 2025/2026 season. Congratulations were extended to the players by the Rector of the University of Gdańsk, Professor Piotr Stepnowski, PhD, DSc, and the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Professor Urszula Patocka-Sigłowy, PhD, DSc.

Among the award recipients was Iga Dębska, a first-year student of the second-cycle (Master’s) programme in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, representing the championship-winning women’s volleyball team. The team’s success confirms the high sporting level of female students at the University of Gdańsk and the effectiveness of the programme supporting women’s academic volleyball.
