What does modern factoring look like, and why is it more than just financing?

What does modern factoring look like, and why is it more than just financing?

These and many other questions were answered by Michał Borowski, Director of the Factoring Office at ING Bank Śląski S.A., during a meeting with students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk, organized as part of the Corporate Banking course.

The lecture covered:

  • current trends and market data in factoring in Poland, Europe, and globally,
  • various forms of factoring and their practical application,
  • the role of factoring in liquidity management and risk mitigation,
  • examples of real-world situations in which factoring supports business development.

We thank the students for their active participation, insightful questions, and openness to discussion. The meeting was an excellent opportunity to combine theory with practice and demonstrate how modern financial tools support entrepreneurs in their daily business operations.

The meeting was held as part of the collaboration between the Faculty of Economics of the University of Gdańsk and ING Bank Śląski, coordinated by Dr. Magdalena Markiewicz.
