Competition for the best diploma thesis for the Award of the President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange S.A.

The WSE Foundation invites students and graduates to participate in the competition for the best thesis for the Award of the President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange.

The aim of the initiative is to promote high-quality scientific research and support the development of young experts in the field of capital markets and finance.

This year, we invite authors of bachelor's and master's theses who obtained their professional title between January 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025.

Themes should include issues related to:

  • the capital market and its structure,
  • financial and stock exchange institutions,
  • financial instruments,
  • capital market infrastructure.

Cash prizes:

Bachelor's theses:

  • PLN 4,000
  • PLN 2,000
  • PLN 1,500

Master's theses:

  • PLN 7,000
  • PLN 3,000
  • PLN 2,000

Additionally, special awards from the Competition Partners and Patrons will be granted:

  • PLN 5,000 – for a distinction from TFI PZU S.A. for a master's thesis on investment funds.
  • PLN 3,000 – for a distinction from PFR Portal PPK sp. z o.o. for a bachelor's or master's thesis on long-term saving and investing.
  • PLN 3,000 – for a distinction from the Chamber of Fund and Asset Management sp. for a master's thesis on asset management.

How to submit your work?

By October 31, 2025, please send:

  • a copy of your thesis (in PDF format),
  • a summary of your thesis (also in PDF format), to: konkurs@fundacjagpw.pl

Submitted works will be evaluated by the Competition Jury, which includes representatives of the academic community.

The following will be of key importance in the evaluation process:

  • substantive quality,
  • originality of approach,
  • scope of research,
  • innovativeness of applications.

Last year, 86 theses were evaluated, and the ceremonial final Gala provided a unique opportunity to recognize young talents and educational projects promoting knowledge of the capital market.
